There was a 50% off sale at 3Fifteen a couple days ago. It was a great haul! Each item was under $10. Watch the video below to see my finds:

Target Haul #2: Looking Expensive Without Breaking the Bank!
For my birthday, I got a few Target gift cards. Blessed are those who give Target gift cards! I went buck wild on these excellent sales both in-store and online. Check out these deals I scored. Disclaimer: These discounts are not the same everywhere.
I ordered these Junior colored Pants online in Red and Purple. They are low-rise ankle pants and they fit comfortably. I’m short (5’2 tall) and I typically have trouble finding pants that aren’t too long. I rolled these pants up once and they were the perfect length.
————-SHOES————
I have had my eyes on this chic pair of mint green Oxford shoes. My neighborhood Target only had them in size 5, for only $9.98!!! This was the first time in a long time I was dissatisfied with my size 8 feet.
Eventually I wore down and bought them online for $19.99.

I am mostly a flats-and-loafers girl. I spied these awesome wedges after my sister told me they were in the clearance section. They dress up any pair of blue jeans. They give me height without wearing down my feet. What’s not to love ?
————Blazers———-
I love the helpful Target staff in my neighborhood. One of the ladies in charge of the fitting room gave me a heads up that these Merona blazers were on sale.

When I went back to the store a few days later, they were all gone! I’m glad I snagged them up!
———-Purses———-

My school bag (an oversized denim tote bag) was in serious need of a replacement. I’m constantly stuffing things papers and notebooks into my purse. It was so heavy that the strap was stretched out. I was constantly living in the fear that my strap would break and the contents of my purse would spill out unto the floor.

I would have never purchased this purse for $35, so at $17 it was a steal! It is the perfect school bag for teacher. It has a lot of space and it is a sturdy bag. I’ve been getting compliments for this bag. It has a textured finish on the sides which makes it stand out from the average tan bag.
Navy LABWORK Peplum Jacket- Worn 4 ways
I talked about my Navy LABWORK Peplum Jacket from Target in an earlier post. Check out how it fits and how versatile it is.

#1. Navy LABWORK Peplum Jacket
I enjoy peplum and this blazer is a sophisticated approach to the trend. I would pair this jacket with something bright or with a print or pattern to lighten it up. I’m not entirely sure of the reason for the steep discount, but I saw it wasn’t on sale online. It had a clearance online item sticker, which suggests it may have been an exchange or return from an online purchase. Either way, I’m happy to the discount.
#2. Mossimo Beige & Neon Crossbody Satchel

God must have been smiling down on me today because this purse was the only one of its kind in the store. I stumbled on it and had to snag it at 50% off. It’s a good size– not big enough to hold a child, but big enough for my necessities. It was just just in the nick of time, because the duct-taped handles on my school tote bag were getting embarrassing. This will be my travel companion this weekend. It seems very versatile.
#3. Dalmatian-print Skirt

I’ve been looking to add some prints into my wardrobe and this quirky skirt fits the bill. I love the color and the details. At the icing on the cake was that it came with it’s own belt. I’m a sucker for almost anything that comes with a belt included. This particular belt is a versatile cognac brown color. I could easily wear it with other outfits.
Today was definitely a good day for shopping. I think my findings might have been by happenstance. I wouldn’t expect to see these crazy discounts everywhere.
In total, I saved $33.74 + $15 + $14 = $62.74 saved!!
Oh yeaa. Mama likes.
Happy Birthday to My Big sister, Dee!
Today is my sister, Dee’s birthday!
There are so many reasons why I love this woman, but here are my top 10:
1. She is beautiful
2. She is kind and giving
3. She’s a great big sister
4. She ages in reverse (look 17 even though she just turned 27)
5. She’s ambidextrous
6. She’s a great writer (check out her blog deekodeetales.com)
7. She not-so-secretly wants to be Korean
8. She hates going shopping but has great style
9. She is a ever-growing woman of God
10. She knows how to laugh at herself
Isn’t she lovely!
And here’s my Sunday Best outfit:
We didn’t plan the lemon grass color. It just happened. Both my pants and Dee’s are from Target. They were on sale for $8! I had to snag them.
Happy Birthday to my baby (big sis) Dee!
Battle of the Timepieces
I saw these two gorgeous watches online this morning. I’ve been wanting a Timex watch for the longest time and now I finally found one. I have to give Target props for the great Timex look-alike. In a side-by-side comparison, both watches are winning.
I think I’ll get the turquoise one, though, so I can add some pop to my outfits!
WAYW#34
This was my outfit for a thrifting/work happy hour day. The wedges were a good choice. I was comfortable the whole day!
I’m wearing:
- Mosaic/tribal shirt (F-21)
- Dark wash jeggins (F-21)
- Black wedge sandals (Target)
- Dooney & Bourke crossbody purse (thrifted)(borrowed from my sis, Ney)
- White Geneva Wristwatch (Walmart)
These song has been stuck in my head all week!
The Target air balloon comercial with “Alouette” reminds me of my childhood in Nigeria. For some reason they made us sing this French song often in primary school.
