Happy Sunday, everyone! To continue what seems to be my obsession with coral and red, here’s my Sunday outfit. I’m wearing one of my favorite thrift finds– this coral button-down jumper dress. Inside the jumper, I have on a bodycon dress worn as a shirt. I’m trying to make appropriate use of old bodycons lol. These days, I’m going for a more modest look.
Excuse the wrinkles, I was folded over in the pews this morning.
Today, I had class from 9am to 4pm. I wanted to make sure I was comfortable so I slipped on these cuffed relaxed fit jeans. They’re one of the few non-skinny jeans that I own. I paired the jeans with a light wash denim polka dot shirt. I don’t get to wear this shirt often enough, it’s very cozy.
This is one of my favorite teacher-dresses. It reminds me of Mad Men and 1960s style. I wore it to my interview today with a cardigan. The job is an office desk job, so it seemed appropriate.
I also had to show off my awesome planner with appointment slots in 15 minute increments! You’ll find out that I’m a big nerd about organizers and planners.
I love this cute little dress. It has a high neckline but a v-shaped back. it ties in the back with a bright silk bow. I got it a few years ago from Ross, but have only worn it a couple of times. The weather picked up a little bit so I threw on a light cardigan from Target.
This mini dress is very versatile. I love the bright pattern and colors. Since I was biking to class today, I decided to slip on a pair of black stretchy pants underneath and pair it with a red skinny belt.
I changed up my picture background so you could see my bright kitchen! It was one of the things that drew me to my house.
I’ve been getting into prints and patterns lately. I decided to pair this chain-patterned top with my fluorescent coral ankle pants. The wind was picking up, so I decided to throw on my favorite professoriate blazer.

Last night, I used some pipe cleaners to curl my hair. They curled pretty well, but they were a bit too tight. I threw on a hat and this ensemble. I was very comfortable in the Syracuse summer heat.
Today, I ended up going to a new church with a fellow grad student friend. It was a great experience that came from a stressful morning of trying to find a place to worship. At the end, I was able to see why God had muddied up my plans– it was to push me to try something new. I still am not sure if I found a new home church, but the welcome I received today was enough to make me come again. I will be praying for guidance and direction.
Had a challenging project in class today, using tools I was very unfamiliar with. The whole ordeal had me seeing red and waiting to hit something with a bat. I stumbled a bit but I learned that I’m a graphics perfectionist and novice at the same time. Very interesting combo.
If you can’t tell, these are my “feeling myself” high-waisted jeans. They make me feel like a rock star!
