Today’s choir color was orange. I struggled to find something to wear because I had no orange dress (I need to fix that). I did, however, have orange tights and orange earrings, as well as a tweed jacket that has orange threads in it.
I’ll admit that this outfit was a bit forced, but at least I have orange on! My favorite part of my ensemble, was the side-swept hair. I like the view in the upper left-hand corner the best.
Happy Sunday from the Komo sisters. Enjoy our VEDA video of us singing earlier this week:

VEDA vlog #14: Cover of “Your Love Never Fails” by Jesus Culture
I heard this song for the first time this week because we were singing it on the praise team at church this morning. Ever since, it’s been on my lips.
Porcelain studio is the bathroom. I’m mixing my own tracks in the bathroom…don’t judge!
Enjoy :)

This Sunday, Tribe of Judah (Braeswood Church’s Young Adult choir) led worship to the congregation. It was awesome and anointed. We were rocking the house upstairs in Worship. Although Tribe of Judah only ministers once a month, it’s always a blessing to minister to the church. I thank lead Pastor Steve Banning for allowing us to serve in this capacity. I equally thank our fearless leader, worship Pastor Zeke Listenbee, for rallying us up and empowering us to form Tribe of Judah. We have grown so much as a group and it shows every time we minister.
I especially enjoyed this Offertory today. “All I Have To Give” by Mali Music Covered by siblings- Adaeze Onyenezi, Chisom Onyenezi, Arinze Onyenezi

After church, we got lunch with some church family:

THIS is why I love my church. Community. We recently started renovations on our church sanctuary and at first, I thought we would lose some members because of all the changes. Instead, our seemingly “mega” church has shrunken in size. It has become more intimate and I’m meeting people I never knew went to Braeswood Church. I have become enamored with the pastoral staff, whose love for God’s people has made the transition seamless. Going off to graduate school will be a little bittersweet because I am loving this season of growth my church is in. I am glad God allowed me to be here for such a time.
Today is my sister, Dee’s birthday!

There are so many reasons why I love this woman, but here are my top 10:
1. She is beautiful
2. She is kind and giving
3. She’s a great big sister
4. She ages in reverse (look 17 even though she just turned 27)
5. She’s ambidextrous
6. She’s a great writer (check out her blog deekodeetales.com)
7. She not-so-secretly wants to be Korean
8. She hates going shopping but has great style
9. She is a ever-growing woman of God
10. She knows how to laugh at herself
Isn’t she lovely!
And here’s my Sunday Best outfit:
We didn’t plan the lemon grass color. It just happened. Both my pants and Dee’s are from Target. They were on sale for $8! I had to snag them.
Happy Birthday to my baby (big sis) Dee!
I took out my twists after a month of having them in. I bet y’all forgot all about my real hair, huh. I was feeling jazzy and decided to wear my red bowtie and blazer with my high-waisted red jeans.
It wasn’t planned but we were bowtie twins!
Hair update:
In the one month that my hair was in twists, it grew a little fuller and longer. I used castor oil on my roots every once in a while. I think it helped. When I retwist later on, today, I’ll be able to tell just how much it grew. Check out the length– past my collarbone!! I’m excited. Glad to have my hair back!
I’ve had this dress in my closet for a couple months and didn’t know where to wear it. I love the way it fit and look. It was thrifted for less than $5. I will definitely wear it again.
Taking pictures after church has become a tradition. Here’s everyone’s Sunday Best

Let me tell you the REAL reason why I like this dress…
Check out the posterior! I had to cover it with a jacket, but I love it heheh. Sorry Mom!
SUNDAY
This grey baby doll dress was from my last clothes swap. I paired it with a lace removable peter pan collar. I’m actually wearing two pairs of tights for a double layered look. I got the burnt orange tights from Target and wore some sheer polka dot tights on top. I’ve been loving this layered tights look. It makes colored tights look a little more sophisticated. I wore my Mary Janes to complete the look.
SATURDAY
I did the layering tights trick again. This time with my Apple-Red pair plus sheer hearts pair. The result is a wine color. I wore a long-sleeve tee that I got from Naturallycurly.com a few years ago with a grey skirt and wine snake-print loafers.
